Information about Japan’s “International Tourist Tax”
In conjunction with the new policy of National Tax Agency, Japan, Tigerair Taiwan will collect “International Tourist Tax” from 7 January 2019 while passengers purchasing flight tickets on Tigerair Taiwan’s website. The method of this new tax is described as below,
-Starting from 7 January 2019, International passengers who flying with Tigerair Taiwan and departing from any Airport in Japan, are subjected to the “International Tourist Tax” while made the booking.
-Tickets which were issued before 7 January 2019, but would like to make any change after 7 January 2019, the passenger shall pay not only ticket price difference and service fee but also the “International Tourist Tax”.
About “International Tourist Tax”:
International passengers who are going to depart from any Airport in Japan and age above 2 shall pay JPY$1,000/per passenger.
